What Makes us different?

Jeff and Craig Camps are designed to help junior high and high school teams across the state of Oklahoma enjoy their camp experience while staying comfortably in a hotel room, and working in a safe, cheer matted, air conditioned facility.  All activites are held at the NCED Conference Center in Norman, Oklahoma.  The Hotel that is inside the facility allows the students and coaches to just take the elevator downstairs and walk directly into the conference area without ever having to walk outside.  The cafeteria has a wide variety of food from Pizza and Burgers to Fresh Tilapia and Roast Beef.  There is also a full salad bar and dessert bar provided for every meal!

Our camp is different because we have 1 instructor for EACH and EVERY team that is attending camp. You will not have to share an instructor with another team. We are also different because we do NOT have team competitions.  Instead, we take the focus off team competition while at camp, and focus on improving each team the most that we possibly can, however we do offer multiple individual competitions. Our Top Gun Competitions each day allow the cheerleaders the opportunity to compete against each other in Tumbling, Motions, and Jumps, as well as Leaps and Turns for our Pom Camp. We divide these competitions by grade level. We also have two division for our Top Gun Stunt Competition – Junior High/Middle School and High School/Varsity.

We work on teaching you a half time routine while you are at camp.  We evaluate your team on different parts of the  routine throughout the 3 days while you are at camp.  The material that we teach at camp includes a cheer, a full halftime routine with music, and 3 chants, and either a game day cheer or a new fight song dance.

We were the first company to offer this one instructor for each team model of camp.  Coaches love the one on one time they get with their instructor while at camp.   We also have additional staff members that are there to help your team throughout camp, but you are paired up with a staffer that will help you in all practice sessions while at camp

We have an unmatched leadership training class.   We encourage positive leadership and help your leaders learn how to grow their skill sets to lead your team throughout the season.

Jeff and Craig have been speaking  at coaches conferences around the world since 1999.  During Coaches Classes we not only go over the schedule for the camp, but coaches are trained on new ways to train their team once they leave camp.  All topics are open for discussion.  Learn from Oklahoma's Most Successful School Coaches on ways to improve your team all season long.

J&C Camps do NOT have team competitions at summer camp.  We do have several individual competitions that we call Top Gun Competitions, however we acknowledge that camp is the beginning of the season and a great opportunity to grow as a team and perform in front of other teams as you strive to perfect the routines you learn at camp.  We encourage good sportsmanship while at camp, and each team is evaluated on their own performance. We do not give ribbons at evaluations, we give critique sheets and the teams are allowed to evaluate more than once each day so they have the maximum opportunity to perfect their performance.   Other teams are encouraged to cheer on the performing team.  

We have individual competitions that are separated by grade level.  The different competitions include Top Gun Tumbling, Top Gun Motions, Top Gun Jumps, and Top Gun Stunts.   3 people are selected for each grade level.   2 are awarded Top Gun Finalist Ribbons and 1 is awarded a Top Gun Winner Banner.  Top Gun Stunts are divided between JH/MS Division and HS Division.  If there is enough Coed teams at the camp, we have a Coed Division also. 

You are housed in a hotel room with one bed in each room. Each room has its own bathroom, so the most people in a bathroom is 2.   You do not have to bring bedding or bathroom products as it is a hotel room that provides all of those things.

Advisors/Directors/Coaches will have a single room and not have to share a bed or bathroom with anyone.

What is the food like?    The best answer is UNLIKE ANY OTHER CAMP!

The coaches that attend our camps are thrilled that we provide lunch the first day of camp and the last day of camp since our camp doesn’t finish until around 4:00pm on the last day!

We get amazing reviews on the food that is offered at camp.  There is always a sandwich bar, pizza bar, salad bar, and hamburger/chicken sandwich grill available if you do not like the options being served from either of the hot meal bars.   Ice cream and other desserts are also provided for lunch and dinner.

For breakfast there is cereal, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, waffles, omelets, and a few other choices each morning.   You will not be disappointed with the meal
